Including history in a mathematics module - practice and theory.

The talk will discuss some of the experiences of a mathematics teacher and textbook author who tries to fill out the content and context of mathematical modules with some historical background. The issues that raise themselves range from severely practical (e.g. 'Will we be asked about this in the exam?') to methodological (e.g. the difference between history and heritage).
